licence to kill: original storyboard sheet

MI6 holds a number of original Licence to Kill storyboard sheets dating from July 1988, before the cameras rolled...

...and we are releasing them to readers as an affordable collector's item from the last Dalton picture.

Any big budget film with an action-packed agenda requires maticulous planning. Bond films are no exception, and the director works closely with storyboard artists to plan their shots, angles and storytelling. Before the 3D pre-visualisation techniques adopted on Bond films like Casino Royale, filmmakers relied on these storyboards as a kind of proof of concept. These unique pages give an insight into what filmmakers were planning; some pages even show ideas that never came to frutition in the film.

What's on offer?

MI6 has opened our archive to offer a handful of readers the chance to own a single page - selected at random from our collection - from our 4th July 1988 storyboard series. These are original production papers from 1989, some have small notes written by the crew, and are A3 (11.7 × 16.5 inches). Pages in our collection cover two major action pieces in the 1989 film, the pre-titles sequence, and the tanker finale.

Each page will be shipped (cost inclusive) USPS First Class in a protective tube.
